3D Typography Progress/Crit 1 - Meade

Pulvis et umbra sumus - We are but dust and shadow. From dust we came, to dust we'll go. The quote has always stuck with me as being the perfect sentence to represent how I feel about life (and death, subsequently). So for my project, I'm choosing to represent this quote with something that was once alive, but is now dead, yet still represents life - wood and plants.

Printed out the quote and stapled it onto the long piece of cedar.

With a box cutter, I carved out the letters so they would whittle out easier.

My hands hurt.

Ready for the plants that will go both inside and pop out of the letters.
