Pretty much said a lot of what I'd think to change in class, except we didn't really mention the little 'T' in the circle at the bottom, which I love. It's that extra ~~~flare~~~~ that isnt corny or anything that continues to unify the aesthetic of your little booklet. I'd also like to mention that I can totally see this in someone's bookshelf or desk to have.
I love this design, it does a great job at keeping the eye interested. However I would like to see more unity between the pages, like keep another elements besides the T in the circle that would unify the pages (maybe keeping the same style of frame, or just have two different styles of frames that you interchange?) I would also change the italic bold type of the 'Drop Cap' title, and use an actual Drop cap in the example. Other than that this is one of my favorites.
The only real suggestion I have would be to create a better relationship between the title and subject matter on each of the pages in regards to typeface choice. Some of them are the same and some of them are different, which is distracting. I am also curious how this would look if instead of creating different backgrounds and textures for each page, you alternated between three or four strong textures throughout the entire book. That might solve some of the unity problems! Overall, super cool and really well done!
I love this design. You really nailed it, for color choice I was reading throught, but hope you added more Narrative, like more entertaining than just a definition of what Footer is.. Etc. Otherwise, very nice.

ReplyDeleteThis design is really good! Even if the backgrounds are different they fit perfect to your theme. This is really well done!
